Declaration of Consent & Creative Commons License

Instead of traveling to the conference to attend panels and deliver a talk, speakers agree to do the following:

• Produce a video of your presentation of roughly 20 minutes in a common format and make it available to conference organizers by uploading it to YouTube or Vimeo (more on that after acceptance). The most conventional form is to film yourself, e.g.with a laptop or external camera. Slides with text or other forms of visualizations of your content (pictures, videos etc.) are recommended for better understanding.
• Take part in your online Q&A session in written form by responding to questions raised by your contribution. Only registered conference participants (this includes speakers, as well as others who register to follow the conference) will be posing questions. The Q&A will be in English. View as many of the contributions in your session and from other streams as possible, posing questions of your own to speakers.
• Take part in the virtual-real time panel discussion, chaired by the organizer(s) of your session. The talk will most likely elicit interesting Q&A from all contributions in your session.

Both the active participation in the Q&A and during the panel discussions are especially important, as this is how you will meet and interact with other conference participants. As with any conference, our goal is help establish relationships and to build a community. In this case, since travel has been removed from the equation, our hope is that this community will be open, diverse, and truly global.

You should also note that by taking part in the conference you agree to the conference requirements. This includes your own pre-recorded contribution, as well as the recording of the real-time panel discussion to be posted on the conference website, as well as our and our co-hosts Vimeo, YouTube, and SoundCloud accounts. As noted below, the talks will become part of a permanent conference archive open to the public.

All material will be published under a Creative Commons license CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. If you send your recording to the organizers and/or participate in the panel discussions, you give your permission to share and use your creative work. Everyone can use CC-licensed materials as long as they follow the license conditions.
