Nearly Carbon Neutral Conferences
If we hope to meet the ambitious goals for climate change mitigation set by the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate Change at United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties 21 (COP 21), all institutions as well as individuals need to get to work rethinking a range of collective and personal activities that often get taken for granted.
Nearly-carbon-neutral (NCN) Conferences have the potential to largely supplant their traditional counterparts.
We have produced eight NCN Conferences at UCSB — and on October 19, 2020 we convened our eighth: Confronting the Climate Crisis with Systemic Alternatives in the Age of Corona Virus (read the Call for Proposals).
